Tom has been an absolute delight to work with. He made everything easy from the first meeting – came up with creative design solutions for our space, responded promptly and with consideration to our input and questions, made the application process through Council a breeze, and was so delightful whenever we had questions or changes it made it feel like we were dealing with an old friend rather than being a bother. I loved working with Tom, and would happily recommend him if you are starting your renovation journey and looking to engage a Building Designer. I’ll be inviting him over for a celebratory drink once our building works are complete!

Tom is exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable. He simplifies things to you well so you are able to understand and does tasks on your behalf. Always prompt on answering phone calls and emails. Exemptional customer service and professionalism. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone! Grateful customer!

Tom has been absolutely brilliant. A genuine gem in the renovating space, which I’ve trodden previously with less outcome and service. He has been able to pivot and address all the changes as requested by me and council, doing so with creative and skilful technicality. Once committed to a project he diligently follows through responsively and with high professional advocacy. Tom has a relaxed and genuine demeanour making him a breeze to work with and integrity at the forefront of his work . I can’t speak more highly of him.

Tom was recommended to me by my sister, when he prepared plans for her fairly major renovation. For my renovation I was on a very tight budget. Tom did a fantastic job of working within my contraints, but providing me with everything I needed. He has a gentle, friendly manner and really did go out of his way to listen, and help with advice and recommendations. Renovating can be exciting, but it is also stressful and time consuming, a time when you will do well to have someone you can trust to guide you through the process. I could not recommend Tom more highly.

I found Tom through the renovating mums page. And I am SOOOOOO glad that I did!!!! It was a lengthy process that involved a new baby, covid and much sleep deprivation!!! Throughout it all Tom was supportive, personable and professional. He listened to our ideas and always came up with a solution. Our DA has just been approved and Tom is still helping me through the next steps. He will always respond and no question is too small to ask. I highly recommend Tom and have done so already. If you are thinking about renovating you MUST call Tom first!! We are so happy with our drawings and can’t wait to see them come to life. Once again thank you for everything Tom.

I can’t recommend Tom highly enough! We had a rocky start to our renovations with a different company which was painfully slow and the company just didn’t listen to what we wanted. After an initial bad start we were then lucky enough to find Tom. He came highly recommended and his service and level of professionalism has been amazing. From his first visit he was able to get a great feel for our home and visualise what would work well. The perfect mix of listening to what the customer wants and also making some amazing suggestions that we hadn’t considered to make the most of natural light, layout, design etc. I couldn’t be happier and I just wish I had found him sooner. His designs are spot on, also delivered in an amazing turn around time so that we could achieve our goal of submitting CDC before Christmas. I only wish I had found his details earlier!!

We recently used Tom based on numerous IW recommendations and could not be happier. He’s detailed & armed with all the techniques to squeeze as much into a small house as possible. His builder background & in depth knowledge of the IW council was also invaluable. Tom works tirelessly to ensure his clients are happy and we appreciated his patience with the back and forth (as this part of design often involves).
I would have no hesitation to recommend or work with Tom again!

We had Tom work on our plans during which he was very accommodating to our needs (we had multiple configuration options we were considering) and go above and beyond to help us through the process. Even after the DA process was completed, he has still been more than willing to provide us advice when needed. I’m happy to continue the recommendation for his services.

Tom provided us with such a great start when embarking on our renovation journey.

After coming to our place and listening to our requirements, Tom was able to re-design our 2BDR, 1bath, 1939 semi into a 5BDR, 3bath, open plan semi. Being familiar with our council regulations (Inner West), Tom was able to take into consideration that we had to keep our front facade to satisfy being in a heritage zone. We had to make a few adjustments from council feedback, and Tom was more than accommodating when bouncing ideas I.e. roof design back and forth.

Tom’s service is affordable and included DA submission and any further resubmissions to council.

I would highly recommend Tom. His customer service alone is next to none.
